ikas
ikas is an e-commerce platform. Connecting a store to Pinlyx pulls the people and the money out of the shop and into the CRM, so you can talk to buyers on WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram or email from the same inbox you already use.
Once connected, Pinlyx keeps three things in sync:
| What ikas has | What it becomes in Pinlyx |
|---|---|
| Customers | Contacts, matched on email or phone so nobody is duplicated |
| Orders | An entry on the buyer’s contact, and (on plans with Finance) an income row on the Finance dashboard |
| Abandoned checkouts | A note on the shopper’s timeline you can build a follow-up sequence around |
It can also put the Pinlyx live chat widget on your storefront, installed through ikas rather than by editing your theme. See Live chat on your store.
Three ways to connect
Section titled “Three ways to connect”| From the ikas App Store | From the Pinlyx panel | Private app | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where you start | Your ikas panel | Pinlyx | Your ikas panel |
| What you do | Install, approve, pick a password | Type your store name, approve inside ikas | Create an app, paste two credentials |
| Need an account first | No | Yes | Yes |
| Secrets | None leave ikas | None leave ikas | You copy a client secret |
All three end up as the same connection and sync identically. Installing from the App Store is free and is the shortest path if you are starting from your store.
Installing from the ikas App Store
Section titled “Installing from the ikas App Store”This is the path for a merchant who has never used Pinlyx. Installing is free; what your plan includes is decided afterwards, inside Pinlyx.
-
In your ikas panel, open Uygulamalar → Uygulama Mağazası, find Pinlyx and press Yükle.
-
Approve the permission request on ikas’s own consent screen.
-
You land on a Pinlyx setup screen that already knows which store just approved. Pick a password to create your account, or sign in if you already have one.
That is the whole setup. The store is connected the moment the account exists, and the first sync starts immediately. Your ikas email address is prefilled, so the only thing you type is a password.
Installing from the Pinlyx panel
Section titled “Installing from the Pinlyx panel”Use this when you already have a Pinlyx account open.
-
Open Integrations → ikas in the panel.
-
Type your store name (the
mystoreofmystore.myikas.com) and press Install on ikas. -
Approve the permission request on ikas’s own consent screen.
You land back in Pinlyx with the store connected and the first sync already running. Nothing is copied by hand.
Opening Pinlyx from ikas
Section titled “Opening Pinlyx from ikas”Once the app is installed, Uygulamalar → Uygulamalarım → Pinlyx in your ikas panel opens Pinlyx without leaving the store. The screen is intentionally small: your store’s name, how many contacts and orders have been imported, when the last sync ran, whether realtime updates and storefront live chat are on, and the last few things the integration did.
Two things you can do from there:
- Sync now runs an immediate pass, for when you have just changed something in ikas and want it in the CRM before the next scheduled run. It is rate limited to one run every two minutes.
- Manage settings opens the full page in Pinlyx, in a new tab.
Everything that changes a setting lives in that new tab rather than in the ikas frame. Signing in and approving permissions inside somebody else’s frame is exactly the shape of a clickjacking attack, so Pinlyx does not render either one there. The frame itself is authenticated by a signature ikas puts on the address, which is why it can show your store’s numbers without asking you to sign in again.
Connecting with a private app
Section titled “Connecting with a private app”A private app is one you create inside your own store, which belongs to you and to nobody else. There is no partner account, no review queue, and no third party in the middle. Use this when the one-click install is not offered, or when you would rather not install an app at all. The credentials are stored encrypted and are never shown again after you paste them.
-
Create a private app in ikas.
In your ikas admin panel, open the apps section and create a private (custom) app. Grant it these permissions:
Scope Why it is needed read_customersImport shoppers as CRM contacts read_ordersImport orders and attach them to the buyer read_productsRead product names and SKUs for the order lines write_storefrontOptional. Only needed to install the live chat widget on your storefront Apart from
write_storefront, every permission is read-only. Pinlyx never changes your products, prices, stock or orders. -
Copy the credentials.
ikas shows a Client ID and a Client Secret once. Copy both.
-
Paste them into Pinlyx.
Open Integrations → ikas, choose Connect with a private app instead, enter your store name and the two credentials, then press Connect store.
The store name is the
mystorepart ofmystore.myikas.com. A full URL works too. -
Wait for the first sync.
The first pass starts immediately and works backwards through your store. Large catalogues are imported over several passes rather than all at once, so nothing is lost if it takes a few rounds.
What gets synced
Section titled “What gets synced”Customers
Section titled “Customers”Every ikas customer becomes a CRM contact. Matching runs in this order:
- The ikas customer id (stored as
ikas:<id>on the contact) - Email address, case-insensitive
- Phone number
A shopper who first appears through an order and later through the customer sync stays one contact. Fields you have edited in the CRM are never overwritten: the sync only fills in what is still empty.
Contacts created by the integration are tagged (ikas by default), so a store’s customers stay filterable and a bad import stays reversible.
Orders
Section titled “Orders”Each order lands on the buyer’s contact. On plans with Finance, it also becomes an income entry keyed on the ikas order id, which means:
- Re-syncing the same order updates the existing entry rather than adding a second one.
- A cancelled or refunded order is re-sent with a refunded status, correcting the original entry.
- A cancelled order whose payment still reads
PAIDcounts as a refund, not as revenue.
Draft orders (carts an operator opened in the ikas admin) are never imported. Unpaid orders are skipped while Paid orders only is on, which is the default.
The income rows are grouped under an automatically created revenue source named after your store, so shop revenue is separable from your other income on the Finance dashboard.
Abandoned checkouts
Section titled “Abandoned checkouts”Unfinished checkouts from the last two weeks are noted on the shopper’s timeline. Nothing is sent automatically. Chasing the cart is a sequence you build and control, so the integration can never message a customer on your behalf.
Live chat on your store
Section titled “Live chat on your store”Pinlyx can serve its chat widget on your storefront without you touching a theme file. ikas lets an app inject a script into the storefront, and Pinlyx uses that: the script belongs to the app, so a theme update cannot silently drop it and there is no snippet to re-paste after a redesign.
Turn on Show live chat on the storefront in Integrations → ikas. The widget appears on every storefront page within a page refresh, and turning the toggle off removes it just as directly.
Which widget is shown
Section titled “Which widget is shown”Leave the widget selector on automatic and Pinlyx creates one for your store’s own domain the first time. Pick an existing widget instead if you already run one and want the same conversations, greeting and styling on the shop.
Switching the widget later rewrites the injected script in place, so the chat never blinks out on a live shop.
Multiple storefronts
Section titled “Multiple storefronts”Stores selling B2B or in several locales have more than one storefront. The widget is installed on each of them and the panel reports how many carry it. If one storefront fails while others succeed, the panel names the one that failed rather than reporting a blanket success.
When it is removed
Section titled “When it is removed”The script is removed when you turn the toggle off, when you disconnect the store, and when your plan no longer includes live chat. Disconnecting always removes it, so a shop is never left with a chat widget that has no CRM behind it.
What your plan includes
Section titled “What your plan includes”The integration itself, customer sync and order sync run on every plan, the free one included. Three things attached to it have their own gates, and the panel says so rather than failing quietly:
- Orders as income entries needs the Finance module. Without it, orders still land on the customer’s timeline; they just do not reach the ledger.
- Live chat on the storefront needs a plan with live chat.
- Follow-up channels (WhatsApp, Telegram, email sequences) follow their own plan limits.
Realtime and the safety net
Section titled “Realtime and the safety net”Pinlyx registers webhooks with ikas for customer and order events, so most changes arrive within seconds. The panel shows Realtime once the subscription is live.
A scheduled sync also runs every 15 minutes. This is deliberate rather than redundant: ikas retries a failing endpoint three times and then stops permanently, with no replay. Without the scheduled pass, a store that was unreachable during a deploy would silently lose those orders. Abandoned checkouts have no webhook at all, so they only arrive this way.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Customers | On | Import ikas customers as contacts |
| Orders | On | Import orders and attach them to the buyer |
| Paid orders only | On | Skip drafts and unpaid carts |
| Add orders to Finance | On | Mirror orders as income entries (needs the Finance module) |
| Abandoned carts | Off | Note unfinished checkouts on the shopper’s timeline |
| Tag imported contacts | ikas | Tag applied to every contact the integration creates |
| Add new contacts to | Default pipeline | Which board and column store customers land on |
| Show live chat on the storefront | Off | Install the chat widget on your shop through ikas |
Changes apply from the next sync onwards. Nothing already imported is removed.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”The connection says “Paused” with an error
Section titled “The connection says “Paused” with an error”The store’s credentials stopped working: the private app was deleted in ikas, or its secret was rotated. Create the app again (or copy the new secret) and reconnect. Reconnecting the same store keeps the imported history and resumes from where it stopped.
An order is missing
Section titled “An order is missing”Open Integrations → ikas and read the activity log. It records every webhook delivery and scheduled pass from the last two weeks, with the outcome for each. If the order is not there at all, check whether it is a draft or an unpaid order and whether Paid orders only is on.
Revenue does not appear on the Finance dashboard
Section titled “Revenue does not appear on the Finance dashboard”Two possibilities: Add orders to Finance is off, or your plan does not include the Finance module. The panel disables the toggle and says so in the second case.
The live chat toggle says the storefront write was refused
Section titled “The live chat toggle says the storefront write was refused”Your private app does not carry the write_storefront permission. ikas fixes the scopes of an app when it is created, so add the permission (or recreate the app with it) and reconnect the store.
ikas says “invalid client_id” on the permission screen
Section titled “ikas says “invalid client_id” on the permission screen”Pinlyx is distributed as an unlisted ikas app while it works its way through listing, and an unlisted app only opens for stores that have been added to it. Send us your store name and it is added the same day; the install then works normally. This does not apply once the app is listed in the ikas App Store.
The chat widget does not appear on a development store
Section titled “The chat widget does not appear on a development store”ikas development stores do not serve a public storefront: the address redirects to ikas’s own marketing page no matter which theme is published. The script is installed correctly and the panel will say so, but there is no page for a shopper to load it on. Test the widget on a real store.
Two Pinlyx accounts connected the same store
Section titled “Two Pinlyx accounts connected the same store”Nothing breaks, but only one of them gets realtime updates: ikas sends each event once, and it reaches whichever connection was registered for the store. The other account keeps importing on the 15 minute scheduled pass, so its data is correct and simply a few minutes behind. If you want the realtime side on a particular account, disconnect the store from the other one.
I want to start over
Section titled “I want to start over”Full re-sync clears the sync watermarks and re-reads the store from the beginning. It is safe: contacts match on identity and income entries update on the order id, so a full re-read corrects rather than duplicates.
Disconnecting
Section titled “Disconnecting”Disconnect removes the webhook subscriptions and stops all syncing. Imported contacts, their tags, and every income entry stay in your CRM. The store’s own data in ikas is untouched.
